Lincoln GP Sportive Entries Open
With the 2017 Lincoln Festival of Cycling dates confirmed as 11th-14th May, we are partnering with ITP Events for the Lincoln GP Sportive on Saturday May 13th to complete a great weekends of cycling to Lincoln.
The icing on the cake for your ride in this Sportive is the closed road cobbled climb of Michaelgate. After a long ride in the tough hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds, this is the final test before finishing in Castle Square at the bottom of the imposing Lincoln Cathedral. Exactly as the professionals will do the following day in the Lincoln Grand Prix.

Lincoln Festival Of Cycling ’17 Returns Bigger & Better Than Ever
Cyclists will have the chance to enjoy a weekend-long cycling extravaganza next year when the Lincoln Festival of Cycling 2017 brings a host of sporting events to the city.
The Lincoln Grand Prix and ITP Events have joined forces to create a unified programme of events scheduled to take place on 12, 13 and 14 of May 2017.
The event is expected to attract cycling enthusiasts from across the East Midlands region and across the country to take part in the Lincoln Criterium, Lincoln GP Sportive, Lincoln Uphill Dash and the Men’s and Women’s Lincoln Grand Prix.

“Lincoln is well known for its cycling events so we’re really pleased to be working with ITP Events to make next year’s event even bigger and better than ever.
“The 2017 event will be bigger and better than ever and won’t disappoint. By working together we’re proud to be protecting the future of Britain’s oldest remaining classic one-day cycle race and a proportion of the Sportive entry fee will contribute toward the Grand Prix.”

“Entries for the Sportive will open on 1 October numbers are limited to 2,000 to ensure a high-quality experience and a safe ride for participants.
“Our focus now is develop the festival into the UK’s biggest weekend of cycling.”

The Lincoln Criterium will take place on 12 May, the Lincoln GP Sportive on 13 May (morning), the Uphill Dash on 13 May (evening) and on 14 May, the Lincoln Grand Prix. For more information about the events please click on the links below
